Welcome to Westlake Meals on Wheels

Westlake Meals on Wheels cooks from scratch.
Westlake Meals on Wheels prepares daily meals from scratch.

Westlake Meals on Wheels serves the elderly and home-bound in Westlake, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Township.  We are a non-profit community service organization.  We serve those having difficulty shopping and preparing nutritious meals.

Westlake Meals on Wheels is not government subsidized.  We are funded through client payments plus generous community donations.

Under the direction of Executive Director, Wendi Schwartz,  our cooks prepare tasty nutritious meals delivered by dozens of volunteer drivers.  We have been cooking and delivering meals to the home-bound since 1975.

Our nutrition program provides more than a meal; we offer caring contact, security and peace of mind.

Nutritious Meals Delivered Five Days a Week

With a small army of volunteers we prepare meals daily and deliver five days a week. Unlike some services that delivered prepackaged food, we pride ourselves in cooking meals each day.  Our tasty nutritious meals are cooked with the same care you would take in your own kitchen!

One delivery each day brings both a hot and cold meal. Deliveries are made between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

We can’t deliver on our promise without your help!   Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, some with flexible hours.  The core of our volunteers help with meal preparation and delivery.  However, there are other needs such a grant writing, marketing and promotion, phone calls and many other things.   Have a special talent?  Let Wendi know and we can probably use it!      Volunteer Now!

Running an operation such as ours takes community support.   Most of our recipients are on fixed incomes.  This means we can’t pass on the full cost of running Westlake Meals on Wheels and depend upon your generous donations.  For most individuals this is usually a monetary donation or shopping online using Amazon Smile.   For our corporate donors,  we also accept (and encourage) in-kind donations of goods and services.   Westlake Meals on Wheels is a 503(c)3 non-profit so your donations, services and goods may be tax deductible.  For more information on making a donation, click here.  Donate Today!
